The Producers and Curators
Exhibition producer, The Nobel Women’s Initiative, uses the prestige of the Nobel Peace Prize and courageous women peace laureates to increase the power and visibility of women's groups working globally for peace, justice and equality. The Initiative is led by Nobel Peace Laureates Jody Williams, Shirin Ebadi, Rigoberta Menchú Tum, Leymah Gbowee, Tawakkol Karman and Mairead Maguire.
Co-curator Zuzia Danielski is a multimedia storyteller, with a background in journalism and digital communications. With expertise in traditional and new media, she has reported out of the Warsaw bureau of The Associated Press and National Geographic Poland, and supported media relations for international advocacy organizations including the Nobel Women's Initiative and a national political campaign. As a lead producer on high-profile international multimedia projects, Zuzia has developed creative and effective campaigns for advocacy purposes, including photo and video documentary, and written publications.
Co-curator Maggie Knaus is a professional photographer and artist originally from Washington, DC. Her favorite topic is documenting her children and her travels, using many non-traditional photographic processes in her work. She is a photo teacher (in Ottawa at OSA), a commercial photographer (for the White House Historical Association, and many stock agencies), and an artist (with shows in galleries across the US). Beauty in the Middle was her first experience as a curator and she worked with a fabulous team comprised of Zuzia Danielski and Jennifer North.
